What does the Suicide Awareness course cover?
This new course has been developed with the specific needs of the hospitality industry in mind and is in response to the high volume of suicide-related incidents Hospitality Action has recently been involved in providing assistance both via our EAP and our specialist onsite trauma support.
This half day session equips team members with the skills to be able to deal with the difficult topic of suicide in and around the workplace. Click here to download the full course outline.
The course aims to help all hospitality employees and their managers including those working in HR and Health and Safety as follows:
- To understand suicide and the thoughts and behaviours of those feeling suicidal.
- To explore the emotional impact on staff communicating with those at risk.
- To help staff understand the effects this can have on the workplace and colleagues.
- To feel confident in speaking to those feeling suicidal and what you can do if you are concerned.
- To assist all individuals in maintaining their wellbeing and productivity by using and promoting the appropriate support.
The course is designed for a maximum of 16 delegates
Cost for EAP subscribers
£850 + vat + trainers expenses for a half day*.
If you wish to run 2 half day courses on this topic the costs is £1,350 + vat + trainers expenses for a full day.
Both half day courses must take place on the same day.
Cost for non-EAP subscribers.
£1,050 + vat + trainers expenses for a half day*.
If you wish to run 2 half day courses on this topic the costs is £1,650 + vat + trainers expenses for a full day. Both half day courses must take place on the same day.
